Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy Humans! I’m CHIEF!
Well it’s been tough having to write this bio with my left paw, as I normally write with my right paw. Yes, as you can see from my photos, I had a little accident with a fence. Yup, I know how to jump all right, but a pesky nail got in my way and had to leave my home and fly on a plane to get help.
The doctor helped me out right away and I had surgery; I’m feeling better but this bandage is sure a nuisance. So while I’m healing up, its time for me to find my furever pack!
I’m getting used to this hustle bustle lifestyle in the south, but I’m a little timid/shy at meeting new people/dogs and seeing new things. Really loud noises scare me, but once I feel comfortable I’m happy go-lucky!
Because, I’m a little scared, I’m a bit of a flight risk….sorry but I’ve only known to run away if I get scared. My foster parents keep two leashes on me so they have better security. It’s also crucial to keep a leash on me in the house until I’m feeling adjusted into the home, so that I don’t try and bolt through the door when it opens. Same with fenced in areas, remember how I said I can jump!!!
I don’t want to run away but this new lifestyle is taking some getting used to.
I hate to say it, but I’m a picky eater. Let’s just say dog kibble was not on my last home’s menu so its taking some time for my palette to change. A good bone is something I really enjoy, and I’ve learned to play with some toys! Who knew how much fun they would be!
Want to know something I really enjoy? WALKS!!!!! except I’m not allowed to go for long ones yet, I will definitely be needing to go on some long walks and hikes. I’m a pretty chill and quiet guy, but not getting enough exercise can lead to bad manners, and I don’t want to go there.
I’ve lived with some little humans before, but I think for now I would like to go to a home without little humans so I can really get some good training, and adjust to this new home lifestyle.
Well if you think I might be a perfect match for your family, bark at me!
