Madonna prefers to be the only cat.

UPDATE 5/6/20-- Madonna is ready for a special home of her own. She was an excellent mama and all her babies are spoken for. She is a playful young girl, loves attention and will play fetch with any cat toy you throw! She's spayed, negative for leukemia/FIV and up to date on all her vaccines!

Madonna wandered into the enclosed porch of a Jeannette resident. She had been seen on their street rummaging for food and drinking from puddles. She was underweight and pretty hungry when SOS picked her up. It turns out, she was pregnant and trying her best to get enough nutrients to feed her growing babies. Within a week of being under SOS' care she gave birth to 4 babies.Unfortunately, the smallest did not thrive and passed away. After 3 days, SOS got a call about 2 newborns picked up from a yard because mom got hit crossing the street to them. The finders were trying to bottle feed but not having much luck. Madonna took to them right away and started cleaning and nursing them. One survived and one passed. They may have gotten too cold before we got to them.Now at 6 weeks the remaining 4 are thriving and have adopters waiting. Madonna is an outstanding mama and a very sweet loving kitty.
