Hi! I am Healy, an 11 year old standard long-haired dachshund. I am an old soul who really loves to cuddle with my human and to go for walks. My foster mom says that I am actually looking to adopt a human who would like to do just that for me. Being a bit older, I startle easier than the average pup but am becoming more used to all the sounds of life as I am more exposed to them. I am learning to be more social as I am exploring different homes and meeting new dogs. When I came into care of Bright Eyes Dog Rescue, I had a bit of an issue with my paws, which the vet has said to be related to food sensitivity. This will require periodic checks and some attention when I become a part of your family. If you would like an old soul to fulfill my easy requests of cuddles and daily walks, please fill out an application for me!
