Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BAILEY WILL SOMETIMES FEAR BITE - if you don't mind being bit, feel free to inquire about her, you MUST, in your inquiry, state that you don't mind being bit. Otherwise, you will NOT receive a response. We are sorry, but please understand, we KNOW she's cute. But something VERY bad happened to her. She's been adopted and returned several times because of the biting, she's GREAT, but she WILL sometimes bite! The times she mainly bites are when she's startled or, when she's having a harness put on her or taken off her. She needs an ACTIVE home WITH ANOTHER DOG (this is a requirement because she gets along great with other dogs), and no children! Bailey is available to LOCAL applicants only, you must live within a reasonable driving distance of Farmers Branch, TX, 75234. Once you're approved to adopt Bailey, you will need to do the following:
-Go to the dog park MULTIPLE times, where her current foster dad takes her daily, it’s located in Farmers Branch
-Interact with Bailey until Bailey is comfortable and allows you to touch her, which doesn’t come easily or quickly. Her foster dad has been taking her to the dog park for weeks - if not months now, and everybody there has tried to touch her, they’ve been giving her treats etc and, while she will take the treats, she still will not let anyone touch her, and these are people that she sees daily!
-Demonstrate the ability to take a harness off Bailey and put a harness on Bailey (these are some of the main times she tends to bite)
Once Bailey is comfortable enough with allowing you to do the aforementioned, we can proceed to a trial adoption. We hope you understand but Bailey is a special needs case and getting to know her and be able to touch her is going to be a very slow process of building trust. We are doing this for Bailey's well being. Thank you.
