My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Callie!

This amazing, beautiful, lovable girl is approximately 3 years old, spayed and up to date on her rabies shot and "FIV POSITIVE". Callie is tortoiseshell colored with luxurious fur! She was rescued from under an abandoned house with her 5 kittens. She was a great mom to them and they were all healthy (FIV negative) and have gone to loving homes. Now it’s time for Callie to find a home of her own. She is very loved by her foster parents but they want Callie to have a family who will love her and give her all the attention she deserves. Callie would make a wonderful companion since she loves to be held over your shoulder and hugged. When not cuddling, Callie loves to play with toys, tunnels, and hang out on the cat tower. Her favorite past time is relaxing in the window with a breeze blowing in with all the interesting scents from the outdoors or doing some bird watching. Callie’s foster mom says she is very personable, she runs around, great lap cap and sleeping buddy.

This beautiful girl has everything going for her EXCEPT she tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This does not mean she can’t live a happy normal life. She is healthy and the virus may never progress any further.

Callie is not contagious to humans or dogs. The virus can only be transmitted to other cats through a deep bite wound which normally happens during mating or when unneutered males fight over territory or females.

If you already have a cat with FIV, would you please consider adding the sweetest most well behaved girl to your family? This baby deserves a great loving home just like any other kitty.

Callie wants to say “DON‘T be afraid of me, even though I’m positive for FIV; I’m a healthy girl who intends to live a very long time, LOVING the person who adopts me”.

Callie simply has too much love to give to be without a human companion and home to call her own.

Part of Callie's adoption fee has been sponsored so it is only $100 with the following vetting- spayed, up to date rabies shot, wormed and microchipped!
