Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone my name is Josie. I am loving my new life off the chain thanks to the wonderful people at Merit! I am about two years old and very loveable. I have a foster sister who is teaching me how to play chase in the backyard and we go for a couple walks daily. Foster Mom says I do real well on the walks and there is so much to smell and see that I can get a little distracted. I do like to greet the people we meet on the walks and socialize. In the backyard other dogs on walks will come to the fence and say hello. I like that. Everything is new to me. I go into my crate with the encouragement of a treat but am a good girl when I am in there. I don't think I would like to be in the crate for a long time except at night. I have learned to go up and down the steps even though it took me awhile to not be terrified of going back down. Now I am a pro at the stairs even though sometimes I come down a little too fast and slide across the floor. Foster Mom is teaching me to "sit and wait" and I am starting to get it. When I first got to my foster home I was scared since it was all so new but now I really enjoy sleeping on a big pillow and checking out the toy basket. Did I mention that I like the little people called children. Car rides are fun and I do pretty well. Foster Mom says we need to go to someplace called Home Depot and a brew pub to see how I like it there. As long as there are treats I am sure I will have fun. Foster Mom thinks I would be good in a forever home where I would get structure and patience. Don't forget that I am just learning how to be a member of a family....Just think of me as a big puppy but not as energetic and wild. I would like to have another fur buddy but it is not necessary. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family take a few minutes and complete an application. I am so looking forward to having my furever family.
