Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MissPeanut - Chineenie - Female - 5 years - www.twyla.org
If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
Meet MissPeanut: This sweet and feisty Chiweenie mix is about 5 years old and was owner surrendered when her family could not take care of her and her mate MissWaffles anymore. Peanut is quiet typical Chihuahua mix and voices her opinion - scary things or things she likes or simply notifying of a stranger coming to the house. She is a little shy when meeting new people but learns to trust pretty quickly. She gets along with other dogs after proper introduction but would much prefer to be the only dog in the house and the only center of attention.
MissPeanut is looking for a somewhat dog experienced home, preferably without another dog in it so she can be the "queen of the castle", she does not requite a lot of exercise and will be content with a daily walk or supervised playtime in the yard and snuggle time on the sofa. Miss Peanut is not suited for apartment living as "meeting" new people on every walk to do her business increases her stress level and shared-wall living is noisier and more bark inducing than most families and neighbors care for, not to mention raising her own anxiety level reacting to lots of unfamilar sounds.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
