My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katie has had a rough year! She was a shelter transfer from Virginia where she was found living in a Jeep with four other dogs and two cats. Due to a period of neglect her thick coat was badly matted and the shelter was forced to give her, her new “do”.
?Katie is now living in a foster home and doing great! She is 7 years old, spayed and vaccinated. Katie co-exists well with other dogs but prefers dogs that are more laid back. She would do well with dog savvy cats but likes a good chase too. Katie is housebroken and crate trained but could also be left alone in the house.
?Strangers are tough for Katie and she takes time to warm up. Her future home will need to understand Katie’s need for space and give her time to open up to them as she learns about her new home. This senior gal loves going for walks and snuggling on the couch! Think you have what it takes to give this lovely girl a home? Chow experience preferred and unfortunately we are unable to adopt to renters due to unfair breed bias and restrictions. Home visit and adoption donation required.
