Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HUMPTY ** ADOPTION PENDING 4/18/2020 **
Humpty is the MOST special boy!!! Humpty is about 3 years old and weighs 92 pounds! He is not a fat dog, just big! Humpty is truly a big baby at heart. He loves to be inside with you and lay on the couch with his people nearby. He is so sweet and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs and ignores cats.
Humpty was found by the side of the road after being hit by a car. He had a fractured pelvis and was in a lot of pain. The shelter that found him contacted us to help. We could not say no and were determined to "put Humpty back together again." With excellent vet care and time, Humpty's pelvis has just about healed up completely and should not cause any future problems.
Humpty has a moderate energy level. He still has a bit of a "hitch in his git-a-long" when he runs, but he gets around great. We are starting to take him for walks to build his hip muscles up again. Humpty is not much of a playing kind of dog. He is a people pleaser, social and a great snuggler! Even though he is a super grande sized Lab, Humpty is gentle enough for children as young as about 6 years old. He is very well behaved in the house and does not need to be crated.
If you live in the DFW area and are interested in adopting Humpty, please see our web site for adoption information. Our adoption fee is $295 plus sales tax. www.LoneStarLabRescue.org
