Macerena is dark brown brindle pittie mix who’s about a year old and came to our rescue from Animal Control where she was found as a stray in an abandoned building. She loves to play with toys and ropes and may be the fastest pittie we’ve got! When she's not playing with toys or running at full speed she is resting or cuddling with the family.

While at the shelter, she would play well with other dogs, but it’s taking her some time to feel comfortable with the dogs in her foster home. We are happy to give her the time she needs to decompress and are sure she will be best buds with her foster siblings in no time.

Macarena is still young and gaining confidence and learning that humans are trustworthy, but she is a cuddly, energetic girl, with a lot of love to give. We feel with slow introductions and respectful children, she would do fine, but we can test her if you’re interested in bringing her into your family.

Macarena is an active dog that likes to play, cuddle, and walk or run several times a day. In fact, she is so active, runs so fast, and can jump so high, she may be a great candidate for agility or frisbee catching! She is loyal and loving and full of joy when she feels at home and safe.
