Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cabernet is a one-year-old beautiful copper/brown pittie mix who ended up at Chicago Animal Control as a stray. Since being in foster care, she has been very laid-back, quiet, and shy. She knows basic commands (sit, down, no), and has only barked once, even when the resident dogs are barking. She loves to cuddle and is obsessed with getting attention. Her fur is soft and her eyes just melt your heart in an instant. Even with her tongue hanging out while she sleeps, she’s the prettiest girl ever. She’s great with walking on a leash and takes treats very gently.
She has a few recent scars on her face and neck, but we don’t even want to imagine what happened to her. We’re just glad she’s with us now and we look forward to helping this girl gain some confidence. She is great with other animals. She gets along with the two other pitties in her foster home and when she hears the neighbor’s dogs outside, she gets so excited and perks up.
Cabernet is also great with children. She lives with an energetic 6-year-old boy and a 12-year-old dog-loving girl. They both smother her with love, and she does so well with them and just soaks up all their love. She is crate-trained and potty trained and if you’re looking for a cuddle buddy on rainy days and a sunny day outdoor pal, she’s your gal. She would be a good first-time pet for kids or just an addition to the family she will fit right in.
She has some vetting to complete, but if you are interested in adopting her, please fill out a survey today at www.playersforpits.com/adoptionsurvey!
