My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose #5405 is a 2-year-old female Boxer mix. Rose has a big personality! She is generally very calm. She came to us a timid LCAR momma and with the help of great foster, she is blossoming and ready to find a home of her own. She is still a little timid, initially, with new people and loud noises but is quick to warm up. She is housebroken. She is smart and very treat motivated. She knows the sit command and is working on stay and lay down. She is energetic and loves to go on walks. She walks well on leash, though pulls if she sees and squirrel or a bird, we are working on that. She is good with other dogs and gets along great with her fosters 7-year-old Retriever, she would do well with an easy-going pup. She loves attention and could be an only dog too. She needs daily dedicated exercise and playtime. As she is very agile, we recommend a yard with a high fence. She would do best in a home with older kids or all adult home. She loves a good chew toy, belly rubs and always gives kisses. She has come a long way since she got here and needs continued socialization, probably not a dog for a first-time dog owner. She weighs 40 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you are interested in adopting this dog, and are already approved to adopt from our organization, please contact dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with the pup’s name and ID number in the subject line.
