Adoption Process:
Step 1: Complete a 'no obligation' application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab.
Step 2: PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable)
Step 3: IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet.
​Step 4: If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.

Foster Location: N Ky. Applicants must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY, no exceptions.
Cats: He's a bit rough with cats, so a home with cats will only be considered if the cats are very dog savvy.
Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard. He tends to be very vocal so a home that doesn't share walls with neighbors is a must.
Kids: He hasn't been around kids but he loves everyone, so we think he'd like them BUT they need to be sturdy kids as he'll run straight through them.
Crate Trained: Yes! He especially likes it if he's given a Kong filled with kibble.
Potty Trained: He won't alert you for a need to go outside, but is fine if you keep him on a schedule.
Dogs: He loves other dogs but overwhelms the little ones. He needs a larger dog friend in his forever home, one who likes to play rough.
Leash Manners: A work in progress.
Bo was in a vehicle accident as a baby and broke his rear leg. It's all healed now and the only evidence of it is that he'll sometimes hold the leg up a little if he's been playing hard.
He adores people but can be a little shy.
Bo is the happiest dog but oblivious to his size and has no qualms about running into you, or through you, to get to what he wants. He loves food and playing with other dogs is his all time favorite thing to do.

It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable. You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting. We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success. We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references.
