My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kaya is a 4 yr old shorthaired dilute tortie who came to us due to an obnoxious puppy in the house stressing her out and her getting crystals in her urine which led to her inappropriate urination. She was on prescription food to clear them up. She has since transitioned to "regular" food and is doing fine.

A low stress environment is important in her new home so as to not risk having the same thing happen again.

Kaya has enjoyed visits from older respectful children during her time at the adoption center. She has lived with other cats at the Cattery. It took her awhile to adjust. Once she realized there was space enough for everyone she mellowed out. Her preference would probably be to be an only pet but she can exist with another mellow cat.


All cats adopted through PAWS are spay/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped. Adoptions also include a free office visit with a veterinarian
