Hello there! My name is Clifford and I am often told that it is short for "Clifford the big brown dog." I am a 1 year old Horse Dog mix that weighs about 122 lbs. Some dogs like to play with a tennis ball, but for me BALL IS LIFE. All I want to do is play with my toys and tennis balls are my favorite. I will carry them around on walks and when we play fetch I will drop them at your feet for you to toss. I am an incredibly strong dog that will need someone who is experienced in walking a large, strong dog. I was brought to HSSA because I got into trouble protecting my toys from the other dogs. I really love my things and I do not like to share them with other dogs, so it is not recommended that I go to a home with another dog or a child under the age of 10. I may like children, but do to my size and my love for chasing things I can become overstimulated and lose track of my surroundings and a small child could accidently get hurt. I do not like cats and shouldn’t go to a home with cats. I can easily jump out of a fence under the size of 5ft tall, so it is not recommended that I am left alone in a yard that has a fence near that size. I am such a good boy that wants to be in an active home that will play fetch with me for long amounts of time and then we relax on the couch after our game. I am such a gentle giant and I have a huge heart that is filled with joy and I really would like to share it with you! Oh and slobbery kisses, I really like to share those with my favorite humans.
