Here's what the humans have to say about me:
f you would like to visit one our amazing pups, please review the policies below, complete an online application www.adoptmountainpets.org and give us call if you have any questions prior to coming by. 970 626 2273
Galena is a 4 year old American Eskimo. She is shy but also sweet. She is a puppy mill survivor who will need an owner with a gentle hand, a caring heart, and a lot of patience to get her acclimated to the life she deserves! Come meet sweet Galena today. She will need a well adjusted dog friend in the house to mentor her and a very secure area to enjoy some new freedom outside in the sun.
Adopters will be considered on the totality of the application and how it matches the particular pet's needs.
We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.
Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.
We do not know or make guarantees that a dog or cat will do well with all children, other animals or is house-trained.
It is important everyone, especially all of the adults in the home, meet the potential new pet. Please also bring photo identification if you plan to adopt.
We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.
All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.
Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
