Atlanta, GA - Look out world!! Our little duck 🐥 Dodger is ready for a forever home!! Dodger came to us afraid and unsure, but puppy excitement and energy is hidden just beneath the surface! After 4 weeks of decompression and lots of positive reinforcement with treats, this little guy is like a whole new dog!

He is a special boy, with some special needs. Two weeks into decompression, we learned he is hearing impaired. He doesn’t respond to sounds, vocal commands or praise- vet tested with a tuning fork. While he may not be able to hear you, he definitely watches every move you make. He also watches fellow dogs for cues. Dodger responds to companions of all sizes. He LOVES giant dogs AND tiny cats.

Sometimes things outside will startle him; he barks at trash cans, shadows and mirrors. He has the energy of a young dog and enjoys long walks and playtime outside. He will need visual training and a lot of patience.

Dodger’s trust is hard to earn at first but totally worth it to see that toothy grin! You’ll know you have won his heart when he zooms onto the couch and around the room. Food rewards are his favorite as he learns that human touch can be loving. He is around three years old, UTD and neutered.
