Angel # 4479 is a 1-year-old-female, Hound mix. Angel is a smart, friendly, outgoing LCAR momma of 7 adorable pups who have found forever homes and now it is her turn! She is house and crate trained. She has been around children ages 4 to 10 years old and did well with them. She knows the commands sit and drop it. She is working on leash etiquette and the command. Angel also came to us with Heartworms that LCAR will treat at no cost to her foster/adopter. She is seeking an adopter or foster to adopter who will continue LCAR’s provided treatment. She was protective of her puppies from other animals when she was with them, but seems to be great at meeting other dogs now that she isn’t caring for her pups. Nevertheless, we always encourage a slow introduction and separate feeding. She should not be a in home with cats. She weighs 40 pounds and is full grown. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
