My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiyoko is a young (born 4.14.18) spayed female Akita. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, heartworm negative, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Kiyoko came to us with a male, Keito, and their 3 puppies: Gabby, Gabe, and Gordon (born 9.14.19). They had all been left in the care of a friend of their owner when he fell on hard times. After several months, he told the friend to go ahead and find somewhere for them to go. Kiyoko is a little rough around the edges, because they have only ever lived outside and have not had any training, but is a very soft, sweet girl. She does ok in a crate but can be very vocal, so she is not ideal for apartment/condo/townhome living. She is a love that just needs to learn some manners. She is great with Keito and the pups but may not do well with other dogs. We are still assessing her social skills.
