Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Polly was a long time outdoor stray who relied on a single individual for food when her own family left her behind. The individual became ill and unable to continue feedings, deciding euthanasia for all of the cats was all she could offer. She felt there were others who would kill Polly inhumanely otherwise.
Our shelter interceded and picked up both Polly and her friend Drucilla.
Now Polly will be able to find the kind of home she was meant to have! Safe and inside! She's about 9 years old, which is middle aged for a cat.

🐾 Polly is nine years old. Older cats do require more frequent wellness checks. Once or twice yearly.
🐾 Polly is a friendly and gentle cat. She would thrive in a calm home

Does this cat get along with other cats? There is almost always an acclimation period when a new pet joins the household. We are happy to suggest a few ways to ease the transition.
Does this cat respond well to dogs? The more important question is how the dog responds to cats. Most cats will adjust to a dog, given time and patience. If the resident dog's response to cats is unknown, that should be determined prior to adding a cat to the household. We can offer a few suggestions.
Is this cat good with children? The better question is how the children have been taught to handle animals. A cat will respond negatively if he/she is not being handled properly. We can offer suggestions on how to teach children to interact with cats.
