My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

: 18 month old Sable/White female. She will not be ready for adoption until approx September
12, 2009. Sadie is current on shots, which were given in the shelter while she was pregnant. She came to us just a matter of days prior to whelping her pups. Due to her being so skinny and under feed, the pups were draining her of all to keep the pups and herself going. She was taken to the vet, and we ultra sound and x-rayed her to find out she was carrying 10 puppies. During the first few days, we lost all but two of the pups. She is a good mother, she is house trained, crated trained and walks wonderful on leash. She comes to her name, and when out to get a break from the pups, she listens for them and runs back to her crate to check them out. She gets along wonderful with the other dogs, and is not nasty with them if they come close to her crate or puppies. When she weans the two pups, spayed, chipped and given updated shots - she will be available for adoption. If you are interested in this wonderful girl, fill out an application for her. She sure is worth waiting for.Update on Sadie: August 8, 2009. It is a sad time since Sadie has lost all her puppies - we do believe it was due to her being so under feed during her carrying so many puppies, and given shots. She is doing well and has such a wonderful temperament - that she is handling this so well. When she dries up her milk, she will be spayed, and bought up on all shots and chipped and ready to go to her new home. We are looking at about two weeks and she will be ready for her new home. She will make someone a wonderful companion with dogs or with dogs - but she wants to be with her people, sleeping in the house and being with you. She is a good dog and would make anyone a wonderful addition to their household.
UPDATE. SADIE IS SCHEDULED TO BE SPAYED ON AUGUST 18, 2009.
