My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome to Paws for Life Rescue, Vaughn! This handsome stud is only 4 years old and is in search of his forever home. He enjoys watching Jeopardy on the couch with his family, bird watching on Sunday mornings, and yelling at people in horror movies not to open the door as if it will change the outcome. If you are a human that has a lap he can curl up in, you're already best friends. Vaughn is the kind of cat you can come home to after a long day at work and know that he's going to be waiting on the couch for a venting session with a chilled glass of moscato.

Vaughn uses the litterbox 100% of the time, he's even polite enough to wipe his feet on the litter mat because he's a dapper gentleman! He is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, FIV negative, and FeLV positive. Feline Leukemia is not a death sentence, and Vaughn can still live a very happy and healthy life as either an only cat, or with other FeLV+ cats. Have a question about FeLV? Post it below and we can answer it.

He does enjoy having a feline friend to help him spot broad-billed hummingbirds ... or was it a semipalmated plover? Vaughn enjoys spring toys, following his humans around the house to demand attention, and chin scritches. Vaughn's adoption fee is sponsored through Paws for Life and includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
