My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Chicago, IL 60626
ESTIMATED DOB: 2008
WEIGHT: 6 lbs
KIDS: Some
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Yes

HISTORY:
Fido was a stray brought into an open intake animal control facility.

ABOUT:
Fido is a cute little nugget, who is about as easy as he is cute. Despite his small size, his foster mom says he loves to go outside. Sometimes this means he needs to bundle up, and sometimes he gets a ride in the doggy-sling when his foster mom walks the large breed resident dog. He’s a pretty quiet guy, but will get very chatty when there is delicious food he is excited about. He is being fostered with a dog and a cat and he gets along well with both. They were a little scary at first, but now that he is used to them both he’s taken quite the liking to them. Fido LOVES to burrow under anything he can find...blankets, towels, laundry...you name it. He also loves to be with people and just wants to be around his foster family. Fido is starting to show a bit of a playful side as he gets more comfortable. He loves to go outside and always goes potty when he is out there, but he is a small dog with a small bladder and has no obvious signals to indicate that he needs to go out. He would probably do best if he is taken out every few hours. If he doesn’t get taken out regularly he is often good at using the potty pads...and sometimes not as good. Although Fido is friendly with everyone he meets, because he is a tiny breed small dog we will recommend homes with older children who can confidently and reliably understand that they need to be aware of where he is and to be gentle with him at all times.
