Introducing Lacie! This sweet young lady was rescued from Hood County animal control. Because she was picked up as a stray, we don’t know her history but it apparently didn’t involve much human interaction. As a result, she can be very shy with people. She has come a long way though with the help of her foster family, especially her canine foster siblings. When she is around other dogs she relaxes considerably and her puppy energy and playfulness really shine. For this reason, it would be best if Lacie’s new family includes at least one friendly, confident dog to continue to help her grow into the great dog we know she can be. She loves to play with her canine foster siblings and her toys, is easy to handle, walks well on a leash, and is mostly housebroken. She is a 5 month old terrier mix and weighs about 13 pounds (will probably get to about 25-30 pounds). She has a super soft coat that doesn’t shed much. She is good with her foster family’s cats – interested but not enough to bother them or chase. We don’t know about children but given her shyness, it would be best that her new home has only older children. If you would like to meet Lacie please fill out an application at epicanimalrescue.org. Lacie’s adoption fee is $300 which includes vaccinations, microchip and spay surgery.
