Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bingo came back to rescue due to no fault of his own. He is an energetic and very loveable 2 1/2 year old merle with natural ears. He has a TON of puppy behavior and will make the right family very happy. Bingo will need a firm owner as all puppies do but he is very food and praise motivated making him a dream to train.
When he came into rescue, all he knew was dogs so when he first went to a foster home he was glued to the resident pack. Once he realized the joy of human touches and love he quickly became the Velcro Dane so many of us know. He would MUCH prefer the companionship of a human than a dog so being adopted with playmates are just a bonus for him. He is crate trained and house trained and trustworthy outside of the crate at night. He is crated during the day when his foster goes to work. Although he is not a vocal bog, when he barks the walls shake. He has a very deep bark but does not exercise his vocals very often. He is not a Dane for an apartment as if he did bark the neighbors would complain. He is a dog park kind of Dane though showing no aggression towards anything he meets. He is standoffish at first with small dogs (30lbs or less) that are very vocal with him. Once they settle he is fine.
He does need a tad or work on a leash but with his background it is to be expected. There will be a training addendum as part of his adoption contract for this. Bingo came into rescue with a lot of issues. He was neutered and gastroplexied, tail amputated and distichal eye surgery. Although there are no lasting effects for any of these he may need eye drops during seasonal changes. He has come so far and we are so proud of him. Bingo came back to MAGDRL in February (5).
