Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Everybody! My name is Oberyn and I'm looking for my new forever home. I was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Central California last month and transported to Oregon. Right now I'm in a foster home living with another adult male shepherd, two adult female shepherds and my foster mom and dad and their 12 year old son. They have lots of room for me to run on which I enjoy exploring. I love playing fetch and will bring the ball back to your feet. I’m only about 2 years old so I've got young puppy energy and need to play ball and run a lot. I am good on the leash for walking as well. I'd prefer a work-from-home parent or one or two retired parent(s). I'm very affectionate and know a few basic commands like sit and wait. I’ll wait nicely for treats and I’m learning to take them gentler every day. I’m being fed grain free food with a fish oil additive to give me a nice coat. I like meal time and love to be outdoors during nice days. I am not a property dog or yard ornament though because I like to be with my people and not alone all day. My foster family is working on crate training me right now. I do ride well in the car in a crate but really don’t like to be in one long if I can help it. My new family should have only middle school or older kids (11+) and no toddlers because I might knock the young ones down in my exuberance and excitement to play. I can be ‘mouthy’ but just playfully so. I’m very affectionate and love to cuddle. I want to find someone who really loves me and will continue to work with my training every day. I need a home and a family to call my own. Will that be you? Please email my rescue here to ask for an email form to apply for me. I’m excited to meet you!
