My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is George, I am 8 years old and just recently moved to the Windy City from Arkansas. My Previous mom had way too many dogs and was kind enough to let me come here and find a new forever home that can spoil me.
I am very nervous when I meet you, but once I know you just want to love me I warm up pretty quickly! I love sitting in laps, I love soft treats and I looove all the attention my 9  year old human foster sister gives me. I don’t even mind her dressing me up in clothes that help keep me warm in this arctic weather you all have here.
I warm up to the ladies quicker than the guys. Remember, I only lived with a sweet elderly woman my whole life. I have a foster dad who has a great big lap to sleep in, but it took me a few days longer to get comfortable with him. But now we are best buds! I would prefer a calmer home. I have a 6 year old human foster brother who makes me nervous because he runs and is very loud. So children 9 and up would be great please. There are 4 other dogs staying in my foster home. I don’t really bother with them but I’m not gonna lie there are some huge dogs here that are pretty intimidating. I don’t mind them much but I would prefer small to medium size dogs to live with. Honestly I don’t mind being an only dog that gets all your attention either. I go outside with the other dogs to go potty and I don’t mind a comfy crate while my people go out or to work. Oh and I love belly rubs that is a MUST! I can’t wait to find my forever home. I may be 8 but I still have so much love to give and hope that my age doesn’t deter you from meeting me. Hope to see you soon

This  furbaby  is currently being fostered in Alsip, IL and would love to find a furever home! Adoption  fee is $300, if you are interested in meeting  or adopting  please apply online at www.rescuewarriorscorp.org and we will arrange meet and greets with approved applicants only at thi s time. Are the dogs currently listed not what you are looking for? Do you have a favorite breed and are having trouble finding it? Feel free to follow us on facebook, we are always saving more dogs.  https://www.facebook.com/RescueWarriorsCorp/

If you can't adopt, please consider a donation care made directly to the rescue via paypal or contact us at info@rescuewarriorscorp.org. We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 48 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
