Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The "wine" litter is sure to put you in just the right mood for cuddles and fun. These babies came to us from far away via a wonderful transport system from the Central Valley of California. Their owner is homeless and another rescue in that area made sure mama is fixed and won't make any more unwanted litters. We were told that mama is a Shih Tzu and the papa is a Chihuahua (or vice versa). No matter what their parents, these sweet things are adorable.
Though timid on intake, these babies have come into their own. Having a wonderful foster family with dogs that love humans does wonders for dogs who aren't used to being in a home environment. Needless to say, the pups are great around other dogs, humans of all ages (though we are asking for no children in the home under five due to their small size), and though we can't say they won't bark at a cat . . . A cat will certainly put any of them in their place right away.
All of these babies are now ready to find homes of their very own. If you are looking for a small bundle of cuddles and fun then one of these pups might just be your cup of wine. Read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, to start the adoption process.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
