We’re almost out of winter, ready for the warmth and sunshine the month of May brings into our lives. The dog is no exception. MAY is absolutely adored by anyone who comes into contact with her. If you’re looking to bypass the energy and maintenance of a young pup, MAY brings the perfect tranquil energy to any environment. She can be a bit timid with new people, but quickly warms up and makes friends. She’s great with the cats in her current foster home & gets along with every dog she meets. There’s nothing MAY loves more than curling up next to you on the couch for a rainy day. As soon as the April showers clear up, MAY is bathing in the sun. MAY is totally house-trained and hasn’t caused any headaches chewing for getting into things she’s not supposed to. Apply to adopt MAY today for a perfect addition to your family.

MAY is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after she is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
