Carlito was picked up by animal control on the streets of Hayward. He was very fearful which showed up as aggression with the shelter staff. He made little progress in the shelter environment, so the shelter asked Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs to take him into foster care.

He came out of his shell pretty quickly in his foster home. The presence of other dogs helped him build up his confidence. Although still somewhat timid, he enjoys affection and attention from people he trusts. He is fine with other dogs his size, but hasn’t yet bonded with any of the other dogs in his foster home, but he may eventually.

Carlito would do well in a mature, quiet household, either as the only dog or with a mellow dog his size. He lives with cats in his current foster home, and does fine with them.

Please note that we do not adopt any of our dogs out to families with children under the age of 13.
