A Hayward Shelter volunteer found Evie in her yard and brought her to the shelter. She was in horrible condition, a severe skin infection. The shelter nursed her back to health and she was eventually made available for adoption. After a month with no interested adopters, we decided to pull her into foster care and try to find her a forever home.

Evie is very sweet with people. She loves to play and interact with other dogs, but her style is very dominating, which can be a turn-off for some dogs. She gets along well with the foster family’s cat.

She would do well in a mature household where someone is around most of the time. Another dog or cat that likes to play, would also be a good fit.
