One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Lilliana’s owner was diagnosed with dementia and had to go to an assisted living facility. This left Lilliana homeless. Only one of her owners friends wanted to help find her a new home to live out her golden years. Everyone else wanted to have her euthanized. Fortunately, we were on the right thread at the right time and scooped her up to let the man upstairs decide when it’s Lilliana’s time to come home.
Lilliana does have some health issues that her adopter will need to treat to ensure a long life. She is borderline kidney failure, requiring a description diet. Her blood test also showed that she is heading down a path towards pancreatitis. This can be kept at bay with the bland diet required for kidney health. As many white dogs do, Liliana has skin allergies. This can be managed with diet as well as Benadryl.
This sweet girl wants nothing but a warm and loving home to live out her golden years.
Lilliana is UTD on vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed and has been fixed. This furbaby is currently being fostered in Woodstock, IL and would love to find a furever home! We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 48 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
