My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Miss Poppy had a hard start to life, but now she's ready to find her forever home! A few weeks ago this girl came to us cold, scared and hungry. She was abandoned in a cardboard box outside on the sidewalk in the freezing cold. Thankfully, someone found her and called one of our volunteers and she was able to quickly get Poppy to the vet and in to our care. She weighed in at a scant 5 pounds and had a belly so swollen from worms that she could barely sit down. 


After being put on dewormer and and a few weeks of good food, this 12-week-old pitty mix has grown into a happy and healthy pup. She has tons of energy and loves to play with her toys and the other dogs. Fellow foster, Atlas, is her partner in crime and she loves to follow him around. 


This girl has a big personality. She is spunky and sassy and she's not afraid to tell you off if dinner is a little late. She loves to just run and jump around the house, earning her the nickname Pop Pop. 


Even though Poppy does have a lot of energy, as is typical of a puppy her age, at the end of the day she loves to sit on her foster mama's lap and just snooze the night away. 


She is working on her potty training but still has a way to go. She does well in her kennel at night and will wake up her foster mom if she needs to go potty. Poppy's adoption fee is $350 with $100 back upon spay. She is mircochipped and up to date on age appropriate shots.
