Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Where are our big pup lovers at?!? This handsome boy is Gideon! He's a Neapolitan Mastiff, approximately 18 months old and is obviously one big lug. Gideon was found as a stray, hung out at a high kill shelter before being pulled for rescue. He did have a microchip but it was likely a breeder chip as it was not registered.
Those days are behind this boy though as he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a furever home. Gideon is good with most dogs (he prefers submissive females), cats, and kids. He knows his leash manners but needs a strong leader with Mastiff or similar breed experience to enforce the rules and work on his training.
If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adoption-application
Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
