Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This perfect pair came to us from a VA shelter where their former family could not properly care for them anymore. Penny arrived needing immediate surgery to remove her eyes due to painful glaucoma. Penny was also heartworm positive, and as of May 2020 has completed heartworm treatment. She was a champ through treatment! She is now ready to move on to her forever home with her brother Copper!
The shelter quickly noticed that Penny and Copper are a very bonded pair. Copper serves as Penny’s eyes, and Penny returns the favor by “mothering” Copper. Their hope was that these two could be rescued together and re-homed together, and that is our hope too! We could not leave Copper behind just because he did not have a disability knowing how much he loved his sister.
So welcome Copper and Penny to PWD. They are both about 8 years old and 25 lbs. Copper is the energetic one and Penny is more chill. But when it is time to settle you can be certain these two will be cuddled together.
We feel positive that we can find that special family that will have enough room in their hearts and home to adopt both of them so they can continue life together.
