My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Description of pet
**IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - Due to the nature of our adoption process, this foster is only able to consider forever families within 25 miles of zip code 75071 (McKinney) A vet reference and trial adoption will be done before the adoption is finalized. Thank you for your understanding.

My name is FINN.

(Finn is the cutest little Morkie - just wait until his hair grows out! Check out the photos of how much hair he had before he had to be shaved because of matting.)

When I was rescued I was a very matted dirty blonde boy so my Foster Mom took me to the groomers at Ooh LaLa as they graciously donate their time and experience to the FFAR rescue dogs. FM was so surprised to see that under all matted hair was white with little black dots of hair.

The groomers said that I was a really good boy and acted like I’ve been groomed before. (Finn will require routine grooming and brushing in order to keep his fine hair from matting)

The same week I got neutered whatever that means as I sure don’t remember anything about that. The veterinarian technician thinks I am a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix) and that I am just 18 months old and I weigh in at 14.5 pounds

Foster mom says I have a LOT of energy but I am still a young pup and will need someone who has time to train me on how to be a great dog. I still haven’t discovered what toys are for. I am not 100% house trained yet and I have done a little business on the pee pads in the house. I can tolerate crates too. I’m not a barker and so far haven’t chewed on shoes, socks, dirty laundry or anything like that. Finn is a very energetic dog that likes to run and play in the back yard and then do some sunning afterwards. Being only a year and a half he is still a young pup that needs the space to run and play so we do not think he would like apartment living.
I have given FM a few kisses and I try and snuggle in her lap so I think I’ll be a snuggle bug in my future. I have snuck up on the bed in the middle of the night to sleep with everyone. The one thunderstorm I heard did not scare me so that’s a good thing. I am ok with walking on that leash thing.

I am FAST though and will try and sneak out the door if you are not careful and aware that I am right there.

Well that’s about all we know about each other but FM promised me that she’ll keep everyone updated as we learn new things about each other.

(Finn is looking for a forever home where there is someone who can devote a lot of time and attention to him and maybe another dog in the home. He hasn't been around kids but his foster mom thinks he would be OK with school age kids.)
