Sweet 10+ months old Tilda is a gentle warrior princess, scarred by an unfortunate past but not tarnished to love.
A young, female (spayed) shepherd mix, Tilda was just a puppy when she was found in Tehran, hit by a car with a severely injured leg. Fortunately, in just a few months, our brave girl overcame all odds thanks to her grit and some help from her loyal army of rescuers. She’s back on her feet … all three of them (her leg couldn’t be saved) … and enjoying life as a California girl. You read that right -- our girl is a world traveler. She did the planes and automobiles thing and recently traveled from Tehran to San Jose and road tripped to her foster family in Novato.
Tilda’s a people pup -- she loves to be with her foster family. She’s friendly with dogs and cats, too, but prefers polite greetings and a few minutes to get comfortable. She’s a simple pleasures kinda girl -- her greatest joy is lush green grass. It’s in the grass where she lets her guard down, frolics, tumbles and stretches out.
Tilda is house and crate trained. She’s learning her commands, gaining social skills, and behaves beautifully in public. Capable of short hikes and climbing, she is curious about the world around her. What she needs is a quiet, firm, confident, reassuring human to guide her into adulthood.
She warms to women easier, is a fast learner, and is very eager to please.
She’s a lover -- she’s gives and receives it freely. Sounds like the perfect dog, yes?
