Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cooper! Cooper is estimated to be about 4 months old, and we are totally guessing his breed mix based on his looks and current size. But, we could be totally wrong, and we don't ever guarantee breed mix OR adult size! We believe he may have some spaniel in him, and he has shorter legs than a typical lab, but we also see many lab features in there. But he could also be a Heinz 57, and we're ok with that, too!
Cooper was discovered at a high kill shelter in Louisiana that had an intake of over 200 puppies in one month, and they were killing them for space. Cooper was next on the list as his hold time was up, and we could not let them kill him! Cooper came north to MD and is living in a foster home with several other dogs and kids, and he does great with everyone!
Cooper is not yet fully housebroken, but is working on it. He uses his pee pads like a champ, though, so he is really very easy! He is a happy, outgoing puppy that just wants to play, play, play! He is affectionate, loving, sweet, outgoing, friendly, and has loads of puppy energy. He also is teething pretty much right now and needs LOTS of safe things to chew on so that he doesn't chew on things he shouldn't.
Cooper is looking for a fun family to adopt him - someone that wants him to be fully part of the family. He has dreams of swimming, vacations, camping, hiking, and having fun with his new family. He would love another doggy sibling if possible as well. Cooper is young and has been exposed to cats and was curious and wants to play (with EVERYONE) but didn't really show much more interest in them once they let him know they were not going to play. Cooper is learning basic commands in his current foster home.
Cooper currently weighs about 23 lbs. and is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and has been on heartworm prevention since we rescued him. He was given a clean bill of health by the vet as well.
