My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good with Kids: Older Teens
Good with other Dogs: No small dogs
Good with Cats: No
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely on Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Working on it
Energy Level: Medium to high
Special Needs:

Arrival Story: Orbit, along with Astro, found together as strays and landed at Macomb County Animal Control where shelter life was taking its toll. We got them out, expecting them to be a bonded pair but both are flourishing in separate foster homes now.

Approximate Age/Weight: 2 years and 55 lbs. (Astro is black in color / Orbit is Tan)

Personality: Shy at first, Orbit warms up to give kisses and interact with humans affectionately. More reserved by nature, he looks to his canine foster brother, Fender, for confidence. He loves to play fetch and run around a fenced backyard. Orbit has more of a herding play-style and can be a little socially awkward with other dogs. He is food-motivated and is dream to walk on leash. Orbit absolutely loves his walks with his foster mom. He checks in often with his humans when playing outside or on walks.

Orbit is still getting used to riding in cars and is good at the vet’s office. He has great cuddle skills and will spoon his humans at naptime. Too interested in small dogs and cats to live with permanently.

Forever home: A quieter home is best for Orbit. He needs a patient person / family to guide this sweet boy as he learns to trust humans, and a confident resident canine pal is a must. An apartment setting would not suit Orbit. **No electric fences, please.
