Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pink is an amazing 14 wk old ( this Monday ) Great Dane who came into rescue from a deplorable situation. She was extremely emaciated and at nine weeks old only weighed 11 pounds. She was immediately placed in foster care with our southern rescue’s vet where she has blossomed . Pink currently weighs 32 lbs and will no doubt continue to grow into a standard size adult Great Dane. She loves to play with her best buddies, a 3 legged hound and a 60 lb Doberman ( BFFs) she is great with all animals, cats and dogs . Pink has successfully learned to use a doggie door and her fosters 14 year old twins have been working on basic commands , like sit and stay as well as leash walking.
Pink is a typical puppy full of curiosity and energy. This piquant, mischievous miss will keep you on your toes and laughing all the way. Her adorable puppy bravado and somewhat awkward antics will wiggle into your heart and remain forever in a kaleidoscope of memories to cherish as she grows into her role as family companion and very best friend.
Great Danes, like most breed specific pups, have their preprogrammed behaviors, quirks and propensities therefore rescue prefers prior Great Dane experience to adopt.
Puppies grow into the expectations of their families through love, care and consistent training. This, more than anything, defines their adult natures and behaviors. Puppies cannot be left unattended for more than 3 to 4 hours a day. Young puppies can only be placed in homes with small children where the family is "puppy savvy" and has enforced boundaries for both the puppy and the child.
Pink is not available for MA quarantine
