My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. My name is Buckley. I am approximately 60lbs and 2 &1/2 years young. I am said to be a German Shepherd mix but my foster parent will tell you that I likely have hound mix in me too. There is no such thing as too much cuddling as far as I’m concerned. I am crate trained and go to my crate no problem at night and when left at home alone. I’m super good in the house if left outside of the crate  though. I am 100% potty trained. I love toys, but please make sure they are durable toys. Now for some important things about me.....I am very high energy and can scale a 6ft privacy fence so will need taken out on a leash. I love to go for walks but please hold tightly to my leash and continue to remind me to hault next to you. I do need an experienced owner that will need to continue to work on my manners and obedience. I like other dogs but I am the dominant dog. Lastly, because of my size and high energy level, I would do best in a home without small children. I am neutered, UTD on vacc., microchipped, and kept on monthly preventatives. All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Kansas City, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver.

Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process.
