My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please Meet LEIA - A SUPER SWEET and LOVE SEEKING TUXEDO PRINCESS - so ready for her furever home!

This 6 months old kitty was surely abandoned and wandering around in the cold meowing at people walking by to help her to get to a warm place. When her rescuer called her she almost begged her with the cutest vocal expressions to be picked up and was easily carried in her arms to safety.
Since LEIA entered her foster home she just demands being petted and appreciates deeply the love she receives. She is a purring machine and is seeking for any shoulder, cosy blanket or lap that offers her space to curl up and cuddle in, taking power naps and enjoying endless chin and cheek rubs!

Like a rose under feline flowers this sweetheart stands out with her beautiful appearance, golden eyes and super long whiskers - but especially with her sweet and captivating personality. LEIA is a front runner when it comes to getting attention and nothing is holding her back: she is the first greeting her foster Mom and visitors at the door, rubs herself all over her/them and is just a happy gal when receiving pets, belly rubs and being the center of everything. She is an affectionate young kitty who will come up to and circling around you and encourage you tenderly with her head butting to be loved, petted and just feeling embraced and safe. Snuggling with her foster Mom on the sofa while watching TV or at night are favorite spots to show her love and affection.
This fur ball princess knows how to let you know if she is not satisfied and feels left alone - like during rescue - she can be very vocal until she gets her will to be with you and does not take "not now" for an answer. She is a true personal assistant that would like to join you in everything you do and her future furever home will need to have an "open door" policy throughout the apartment (of course indoors only) to keep this precious feline soul happy and content.
LEIA is very social and likes also to hang out with her residential furry friends - always in a playful and adventurous mood. She is a devoted "toy mousy batter" and gets really a kick out of it under a lot of chirping.

As her demands on furry and human company are equally distributed we are seeking a furever home for her that has a young and playful residential kitty and can offer her lot's of love and cuddle time with her humans to give her the feeling she is part of the family.

Come, meet and fall in love with this beautiful blossoming Tuxedo Princess - charmingly beautiful inside out - she will melt your heart in no time when she tenderly approaches you with the cutest meow!

LEIA is a healthy 6 months old teenager, spayed, deflead, fully vetted, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FELV.

More about this rescue

We are an East-Harlem-based rescue group of volunteers committed beyond all odds to take stray cats and kittens off the street by Trap-Neuter-Release programs, to give them all veterinary care as needed, rehabilitate and foster them when needed, and get them ready to be adopted into forever homes. We also try to improve the lives of animals that suffer or are homeless by engaging our communities. We focus particular on animals that are "unwanted" but beautiful inside out - Come and visit and you will see how precious they are!
