Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for the bestest dog? Here she is! Plum is so so sweet and pretty! 💋
Plum is a 3 year old German Shepherd mix and she weighs in at 55 pounds. One of her rescuers shared some kind words about Plum with us:
"She has a beautiful black coat with white and red markings. She's probably the calmest, sweetest dog I've ever met. She was found by my son's girlfriend at a small park across the street from her home. Plum was very shy and it took Liz about 20 minutes to get her to come to her. But once she did, she relished the attention! Liz was sitting with Plum and petting her when a neighbor approached her and told her that Plum's family had abandoned her when they left the country, leaving Plum to fend for herself.
Plum is very smart and eager to please. She soaks up attention and will follow her human around wherever they might go. Her foster has even started training her to do simple things like sit or shake hands (paws). Plum has been introduced to a leash and now walks easily beside us when we take her for walks. She will sit and accept as much attention as you're willing to give her! She is also very calm and happy to rest in her crate. My first night fostering her, she slept through the night in her crate without so much as a peep.
Plum will make a wonderful pet. She doesn't appear to be aggressive at all toward any other animals or humans. She has been around cats and small dogs. She will bark at the cat when she is in her crate and the cat walks by, but face to face when she is out of her crate she only shows mild curiousity. No aggression at all. Same reaction to small dogs.
Her day at the vet offices was very easy. She spent over 6 hours at 2 different vets, around lots of animals and people. She was calm the entire time. She was poked and prodded, Had blood drawn, fecal tests and never got upset or excited. She just calmly waited as all the tests were done. Everyone commented on what a wonderful dog she will make for someone.
In short, Plum is a very special dog with so much love to give. She just needs her forever home :)
