My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A man, trying his best to make life better for the homeless cats he was feeding, contacted Fortunate Feline June of 2019 for help. What a trip this has been. Motor City Trappers came and did TNR for many of the cats. FFAL was able to foster, vet and get one of the adults adopted.

Throughout the summer four litters each with 4 kittens, destined to a short, miserable life, were taken from this colony. They were fostered, vetted. and adopted or are up for adoption now.
'
Lil’ Helen, Omelette, Comet, Rockette, and Trix were the last to be rescued.

Thanks to the ‘I’LL NEVER GIVE UP ON THEM” attitude of Susan with the help of Harper Woods vets, these kittens have BEAT the odds. They are happy, healthy, thriving little kittens.

Due to all the tender, loving, devoted care they received from Susan, they absolutely adore HUMANS. They love to be rubbed, tickled, held in any position, carried around, ride on shoulders………… play, play, play. and then sleep, sleep, sleep. Of course, don’t forget; they eat, eat, eat.

LIL’ HELEN and COMET have been adopted.

ROCKETTE and TRIX are full of energy and fun.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. We DO NOT have an online application

2. We talk with interested parties VIA PHONE. Call between 9 am and 8 pm.

3. If this sounds like a possible match, we arrange for the cat to be met which is USUALLY at Greenwood Pets and Plants,

13983 E. 9 mi (3 blocks east of Schoenherr) 586-200-3930 Sat.between noon & 2:30 pm

4. When a person meets a cat at Greenwood and wants to adopt him/her, a paper application is filled out, then the contract is studied,

if found agreeable, the applicant signs, makes an adoption donation, takes the cat home. (adopter provides a cat carrier)

5. DIRECTIONS are given for introducing the cat to his/her new home.

6. In about 8 to 14 days a call is made to hear about the steps that were taken to introduce the cat to his/her new home

and find out how the cat has adjusted.

The adopter is asked to send pics of their adopted cat.
