My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kesha is a sweet four-year-old Yorkie who is looking for her furever family. She is a friendly dog who loves her foster family as well as everyone she meets. Kesha is quite the snuggler; she actually prefers laying with you on the couch rather than her dog bed. Don’t let her snuggly ways fool you though, she walks well on a leash and enjoys getting fresh air and exercise. Kesha would like to have fur-siblings to play with, but only if they are similarly sized. Big dogs tend to be a little scary and Kesha doesn’t like them. Kesha is a very petite gal, weighing only 4 pounds. Therefore, no applications with children under the age of 10 will be accepted.

Keysha is considered "special needs" due to diverticulum in her esophagus which tend to collect food causing her to cough. She must remain on a diet the consistency of gruel and be monitored to insure she does not accidentally suffer from aspiration pneumonia.

The suggested adoption donation for Keysha is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
