Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Knoxville, TN - This gorgeous boy is looking for a home. Our sweet Alec is dressed to impress and is interviewing for families!!
This boy is VERY high energy so he will need someone that can exercise him daily and provide mental stimulation. Alec loves to play with other dogs but he will need a dog with the same energy he brings, preferably a female dog. He will need a sibling that takes communication well and won't be reactive. He loves to run, jump, hop around so his sibling will need to be ok with him in their space.
He can play a little rough so if there is a female dog in the home, we recommend she be his size or larger. He can’t help he is SO excited and full of energy when he meets other dogs and people, that he might scare the other dogs. He’s just happy to be alive so who can blame him!?
He recently met our honorary board member, Mya, who is twelve years old and he absolutely loved her; he gave her all the kisses and lovies! If the adopter is experienced, kids 12+ will be considered.
Alec listens well, knows some basic commands, enjoys car rides, daily walks and loves playing with toys! He needs an experienced adopter who can work with him daily and help him reach his full potential. Again, we emphasize the experienced part due to some crate reactivity, but he settles down once in/out of crate.
In regards to car rides, he is reactive with people walking up to the car so it wouldn't be idea for someone to stick their hand in the car for a pet. It would be best to get him out of the car for a pet and lovies, as he does love people. Although crate trained, he goes in well but when he is let out you will need to just open the door and walk away. He will come out on his own time. This has been a work in progress. He is doing amazing!
He completed HW treatment, is neutered and UTD on vaccines. We adopt out of state for the right fit, but you must meet and transport.
