My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


RJ is a very sweet purebred Belgian Malinois dog that we've recently saved along with his best friend, Foxy. He was born on Jan 25th 2016, was purchased from a breeder, and weighs 75 pounds. RJ is a very calm dog, affectionate, likes to lean on his person and loves belly rubs. He is not destructive when left alone, walks well on leash and knows all his basic commands - a very obedient dog. He also loves car rides, has no probelm jumping into a car, did well during his vet exam, and doesn't mind getting a bath.





He was owned by a nice family before he and his best friend Foxy ended up at a shelter. His previous family had kids and they all grew up together. The reason RJ and Foxy ended up at the shelter was their repeatedly jumping a 6-foot fence. As such, in his future home he needs a secure yard with a high fence and should not be left outside unsupervised. A home with older kids and someone experienced with this breed would be preferred.





If you are interested in adopting both of them, please fill out an application on our website. The adoption fee for both dogs is $700. Both are up-to-date with their vaccinations, are microchipped, dewormed, were given flea medication, and will be groomed before adoption. Both dogs received a full blood panel and all information will be provided to the adopter.
