My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunther is a sweet 8 year old boy who lost his home through no fault of his own. He is housetrained and has been a perfect house guest in his foster home. Gunther takes a little time to warm up to new people but once he does, he is friendly with adults and kids of all ages and will tap your arm to ask for pets. Gunther’s perfect home would be one without other dogs or only one other dog who won’t be pushy with him; he’s been in a home with other dogs who were too rambunctious with him and as a result he is a bit shy of other dogs. He isn’t the least bit pushy or aggressive but instead will back off and hide so he’d really like a home where he won’t have to compete with other dogs for attention. Gunther really loves treats and is an excellent beggar so he is a bit overweight. He has lost some weight in his foster home but will need an owner who will be committed to helping him lose a few more pounds and keep him at a good weight, around 12-13 pounds. Fortunately, he also gets very excited about taking walks and is a very good boy on a leash so regular exercise will be easy for him. Gunther’s hair was trimmed but is growing back in nicely and he has a lovely coat.
