Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLUTO is a 2-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Pluto weighs 56 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION: PLUTO came to Lab Rescue as a stray and was never reclaimed by anyone. He is a bit skinny at just under 60 pounds, so could stand to gain a few. He is a VERY good boy, walks on a leash well. He knows how to sit and stay (but not for too long, he's too excited!). He likes other dogs and is excited (happily) when meeting other dogs. Pluto is still very much of a puppy -- a real energetic pup who likes to be around you and get attention. He likes to retrieve and play with toys -- and boy he is fast! His coat is sun-bleached and will be a velvety dark chocolate when his new coat comes in. He has a wonderful Lab lean, which turns into a slide and ends with Pluto being upside down getting his belly rubbed. He is a really good dog and with additional training he will be fantastic! He is crate and house trained. He would love a home with a fenced yard so he can run and stretch his legs while he plays. He will make some lucky family a super companion.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and North Carolina. Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
