My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasper
Jasper is a nearly eight year-old terrier mix. He sports a winning smile – no kidding, he smiles at you! – and is as cute-as-a-button. Jasper has a beautiful red/brown coat and his eyes sparkle in delight. Jasper carries himself like a little gentlemen full of intelligence and warmth. He weighs 14.4 pounds and is one adorable and spunky pup. Jasper is highly intelligent and has a curious nature. Jasper loves to explore his surroundings, he loves chasing squirrels and playing with toys. Jasper will need a fenced yard so he can explore in safety.
Jasper is house-trained. He’s good on a leash and his small size makes him easy to walk. Jasper desperately wants to belong. Jasper has dealt with a lot of change and uncertainty in his life. He loves being with his people and feels left out when he’s not. Through previous caregivers we’re told that he can get overwhelmed by too much activity. Sudden movements and noises like doors slamming can sometimes frighten him. Jasper will do best in a calm and quiet house. Jasper will thrive with a family that is patient and understands that he’s been through some previous trauma and neglect. A family that is willing to go slow and get to know Jasper will be rewarded with a loving and loyal little guy. Jasper does well with dogs his size and seems to like cats just fine.
For the person or family that will include Jasper in all they do, Jasper will make for a most loving and loyal companion. He’s a unique little guy that’s stolen our hearts. Come meet him.
Jasper is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.
